We’ve got something important to share with our wonderful European customers and partners – there’s a new customs reform happening in the EU, and it might affect how your favorite knitwear parcels arrive. You know how we love packing up our soft merino beanies, alpaca mittens, and cashmere scarves into those neat little boxes and sending them straight to your doorstep? Well, starting from 1 July 2026, the EU is saying goodbye to the old rule that let low-value shipments (under €150) come in duty-free. No more skipping customs duties on those smaller orders! Why the change? From what we’ve read on the official EU site, it’s all about making things fairer – stopping undervalued parcels, protecting local businesses, ensuring product safety, and even helping the environment by encouraging smarter shipping. We totally get it; fairness and sustainability are close to our hearts too, just like using natural fibers and supporting our amazing women artisans here in Nepal. What This Means for Us (and You!)
A Bit More Cost: Duties will now apply right from the first stitch – er, euro! This could add a small fee to your orders, especially the personal ones under €150. Smoother in the Long Run: The full reform brings a fancy new digital system (around 2028) with easier declarations and perks for trusted exporters like us. We’re already looking into becoming “trusted traders” for faster, hassle-free deliveries! Our Promise: We’ll keep things as affordable and transparent as possible. If prices need a tweak, we’ll let you know way in advance – no surprises here.
